A big thanks to the Lions Club and those who helped organise the AGM and disco. We wish you all a wonderful holiday break and look forward to another eventful year in 2019.
This story is written by Justin Hill, Athlete Representative for the SOSUNS committee. On the 15th of April, about 10 Special Olympics Sydney Upper North Shore Athletes travelled to Adelaide to compete at the Special Olympics National Games.
We competed in tennis, swimming, sailing and basketball.
In basketball Josh’s team came 2nd, Michael’s came 4th, Jonathan’s team came 4th as well and my team came 2nd.
I enjoyed meeting athletes from across Australia in particular I met some Western Australia basketball athletes. Everyone had a great time and it was a great event.
