SOSUNS Regional Swimming Carnival

On Sunday 5th July, SOSUNS is hosting a regional swimming carnival. The carnival will be held at Oakhill College Aquatic Centre, 423-513 Old Northern Road Castle Hill. The pool is a heated indoor pool and is 25m in length.

Special Olympic’s Mel Inspires at the Rock
Mel is a very determined SOSUNS athlete who loves a challenge! While most people like to spend Easter Sunday eating chocolate eggs and hot cross buns, Mel has, for the past two years, swum in the Rock to Rock, a 1.5 kilometre ocean swim at Elizabeth Beach in Forster. Read more
Sophie Wins Young Achiever Award

Sophie Ferguson was “nervous” and “proud” as she walked on to the stage to collect the Hornsby Advocate’s inaugural Young Achiever award. Sophie was nominated by a family friend to be the Advocate’s sports star of the week after wining two gold medals and a silver medal for swimming and a bronze medal for basketball at the Special Olympics National Youth games held in Canberra last year.
