Run With the Law Underway
The excitement of SOSUNS athletes was obvious by the big smiles on their faces as they gathered together, ready to participate in the 2010 Run With the Law. Nathaniel stood calm and proud, excited to see one of his heroes, footballer Craig Wing, Michael and Brandon were excited, ready to take their turn with the torch, James had the honour of actually holding the torch whilst it was being lit, Ryan, Sophie, James, Bec and Ashley all chatted and laughed, impatient for this once in a lifetime experience to begin, Lauren carried the NSW State flag high and Shaun and Mel high fived and cheered their way along the course. In 2010, Police officers will take the “Flame of Hope” torch across 40 cities in 29 days leading into the opening ceremony of the National Special Olympics Games being held in Adelaide. This Law Enforcement Torch run event is Australia’s biggest fun run event for 2010.
