SOSUNS Cadbury Fundraising Idea

September 22, 2011 by deb · Leave a Comment

Do you work somewhere where chocolates would sell themselves?  Do you have friends and family who work in such an environment?  All you would have to do is place a box of chocolates on a desk or in a tearoom and the box would sell itself with no work required by you?

Fundraising Idea

Those SOSUNS families, friends and supporters who wish to take part in this fundraising experiment would be supplied with a Cadbury Classic Range Box.

Each box would cost SOSUNS $30 and by selling the snake lollies and chocolates for the RRP of $2.50 each we would make $60 per box = $30 profit directly to SOSUNS.

So that is $30 profit per box for very little work.  Once the box has sold itself a new box could be sent to you to go back onto that desk or in that tearoom.  We envisage a regular income stream with little effort.  As I mentioned above:

‘The box would sell itself!’

What do you think?  Are you, your friends or family interested in giving this try?

Please reply to debfrost@bigpond.net.au with any feedback or if you are interested in taking part in this fundraising trial.

Weather Clears for 2010 Golf Day

October 19, 2010 by deb · Leave a Comment

Despite early morning storms and some very nervous organisers the 2010 SOSUNS Golf day went off without a hitch.  Thirty minutes before the first hole was set to be played the clouds cleared and the sun came out.  Golfers happily grabbed their clubs and jumped on buggies, ready for a fun day of golf with friends in support of Special Olympics Sydney Upper North Shore athletes.

The golf day was held at Avondale Golf Course and included special guests like Ken and Oscar Done and Ben Elias.  All golfers enjoyed a great dinner and were entertained by some inspirational guest speakers.  SOSUNS athlete Alistair did a fantastic job with his first ever presentation.

The Auction was a great success and monies raised on the day will be very useful in paying for coaches and venues so that our athletes can continue their sporting sessions into 2011.

SOSUNS athletes Tom, Nathaniel and Luke all attended and played with sponsors.  It was thrill for the sponsors to see our athletes in action.

Thank you to all of our sponsors who made this day possible.  A big thank you especially to Michelle Jackson who worked tirelessly to organise the day.
