Volunteers run successful SOSUNS tennis competition

On Sunday June 21st SOSUNS hosted an extremely successful tennis competition attended by over 50 athletes and approximately 100 spectators. This fantastic event was run entirely by volunteers, from Peter, Sue, Dave and Deb who spent countless hours preparing for the day to our wonderful umpires, ball boys and girls and barbecue people.

Tennis Competition 21st June - Still On

As at Saturday 5pm the SOSUNS regional tennis competition is still on. Organisers will meet up at the tennis courts tomorrow 7am and make a final decision then. If you do not receive a phone call then assume that it is not raining in Dural and the competition is going ahead. To confirm directly that the competition is on you can contact Deb and Sue after 7am on 0424 403 065 or 0408 777 075 respectively.

Working for SOSUNS is a very rewarding job in itself however for SOSUNS volunteers and employees it is always great to receive positive feedback.
An email was recently received from a new SOSUNS parent who wrote that her daughter was
‘…enjoying bowling… and swimming… What a wonderful program, we are very happy to be part of it. She now has her own circle of friends, which is very important…’
