Family Forum a Success!

On Friday 19th June SOSUNS held it’s second family forum.  The topic presented was Financial Succession Planning for People with Disabilities.  Presenters Rod and Andrew Cunich kept the audience spellbound as they discussed the benefits of various trust structures and the options available to finance these.

Together, Andrew, a Principle with Retirenvest and Rod, a Partner with Slater and Gordon Lawyers, gave a fantastic overview of family succession planning, how it all fits together with other family members and parent’s broader estate planning objectives.   They also briefly discussed the options for private co-ownership of group homes.

Parents who attended the presentation were unanimous in their praise of Andrew and Rod with many commenting on how they found the information ‘..very useful..’.  Following the presentation refreshments were provided and parents were able to catch up with friends and also ask Rod and Andrew many questions.
