Who feels like a game of tennis or softball?  What about golf, ten pin bowling or cricket?  Would you like to go sailing or perform with your dance group?  How about a few races, 100m , 200m, 400m or perhaps you would prefer long jump?  Amazing SOSUNS athlete Nathaniel, does all of this every week!

Nathaniel Quan is an extremely talented SOSUNS athlete.  Most people feel exhausted just reading about Nathaniel’s weekly sports timetable but Nathaniel can’t pick a favourite as loves all of them.  Whether he is competing or training, Nathaniel is just happy to be out there getting exercise and having fun with his friends. Nathaniel really enjoys showing his friends, family and the community what a talented athlete he is and how much fun sport is.

In addition to sport, Nathaniel has also found time to be involved with the Special Olympics Athlete Leadership Program.  Nathaniel regularly makes speeches promoting Special Olympics with the help of his mentor Lorna Samway.  One of Nathaniel’s memorable speeches was on the 2008 International Day of People with a          Disability where he spoke to an audience of approximately 100 people.

Nathaniel is also very aware of others in the community who are suffering from incurable diseases.  He recently competed in the 2009 Freedom from MS Regatta where he raised funds and awareness for MS Australia.
