Supporters Help SOSUNS

SOSUNS could not offer the wonderful venues and volume of sports that we do without the support we receive from the local community.  Schools, small businesses and churches all help us by providing high quality venues for the running of our sports.

This year alone we have had five new supporters come on board, all of them providing us with a venue at no cost.  Three of our dance groups needed new venues and with no hesitation Asquith Church of Christ, Karonga Special School and Barker College have offered us the use of their halls.  The athletes truly appreciate their new spacious and well it dancing venues and our SOSUNS parents also enjoy a venue which is reliably available each week.

SOSUNS has started three new learn to swim groups this year thanks to the support of Karonga School, Aquabliss Loreto Normanhurst and Aquabliss Thornleigh.  Twenty four additional athletes are now being taught to swim in high quality indoor pools where our coaches are even given generous access to any equipment that they require.

Other longtime supporters of SOSUNS who generously provide us with venues free of charge include North Ryde RSL who allow us to use their tennis courts three times per week and their hall for a dance group.  Turramurra Uniting Church give us a dance hall twice week, Hornsby PCYC provide our indoor soccer venue, Tennisworld Lane Cove allow us the use of a tennis court and Cromehurst School allow us to use their pool on Sunday afternoons.
